With a 121-66 victory over Angola in the eight-finals of the FIBA World Championship on Monday, the USA advanced to play the winner of Russia-New Zealand in Thursday’s quarter-finals. Chauncey Billups scored 19 points while Kevin Durant, Rudy Gay and Eric Gordon each added 17 in the first round of elimination play.
